Familiar Faces Staffing New Veterinary Clinic in Antigo
The facility is new, but the faces will be familiar when the Spring Brook Veterinary Clinic opens Monday.
The clinic, located across from Menards at 334 East State Highway 64, is being opened by Doctors Sharon Brunzlick and Dan Turunen, who previous worked together in animal health care in the community.
Joining them on staff will be technician Betsy Remington, office manager Peggy Resch and assistant Kathy Wendt.
“We’re excited to be back in the area and are looking forward to seeing a lot of people we’ve seen before,” Brunzlick said.
Brunzlick and Turunen are returning to Antigo after working outside the area for several years. He was based in Birnamwood while she was practicing in Clintonville.
“We’ve worked together for many years,” Brunzlick said. “That helps with our partnership now.”
The clinic is located in the former Color Gallery, which was completely gutted and remodeled into a brand new animal health care facility. There are three examination rooms, a surgical suite, treatment area, offices, separate public and staff restrooms, a break room and waiting room and reception area. There is also an attached garage and separate holding areas for dogs and cats.
“We were really lucky to get this building at this location,” Brunzlick said.
The doctors will offer small animal medicine, surgery and preventive care. Appointments can be made by calling 715-623-6119.
“We thought there was a need and are ready to do our thing here,” Brunzlick said. “We just got the phones hooked up and they started ringing.”
Spring Brook Veterinary Clinic will be open Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon. A veterinary will also be on call during the evening for emergencies.
