Brickners Planning Construction of Large Collision, RV Facility Soon

The site plan for a new collision repair facility for recreational vehicles at Brickners of Antigo, the busy north side dealership selling Chrysler products and a wide range of motorhomes and camping trailers will start its way through the city approval process today.

The project will be considered at a meeting by the City Plan Commission to eye the site of the construction, which will be south of the existing dealership offices and repair complex on Highway 64.

Jerry Brickner explained that construction on the project will start as soon as all permits are in hand as more spring-like weather has arrived.

It will be a large structure, roughly the site of the current Brickners of Antigo home, covering 16,000 square feet plus parking lots and access routes.

He said that the collision service, located at Ninth Avenue and Superior Street, has been exceptionally busy and has simply outgrown the old facilities. The recreational vehicle sales and repair activities have grown, too, and there isn’t room in the automobile and truck dealership building for all of the activity.

“This represents a large investment,” he said, adding that it a necessary one.

Brickner is anxious to have the project moving ahead for the summer months.
