Business Incentives: A variety of tax credits, State funded incentives, as well as low-interest gap financing and Lease-to-Purchase opportunities make Langlade County appealing to anyone looking to relocate, expand or start-up a business.
Included in local level business incentives is access to capital through three Economic Development Revolving Loan Funds designed for gap financing; The City of Antigo also has a very progressive Lease to Purchase program, a Façade Improvement Grant Program for downtown businesses, as well as a very “out-of-the-box” way of thinking when it comes to incentives.
On a regional level, through our partners at the North Central Regional Planning Commission, there are various low-interest options also available.
The Wisconsin economic development team includes many partners, from the Department of Commerce and other state agencies to local economic development officials, utilities, the state’s technical college and university systems and other groups.
The Langlade County Government recognizes the need to financially assist local businesses through loans, grants, or public improvements to develop and expand their efforts and to improve their financial success.
With the generous donation from The Suick Family Foundation, Langlade County Economic Development Corporation has been able to offer a 9-week Entrepreneurship Training Course. Participants explore all major aspects of starting and running a small business.
