Institute of Business & Entrepreneurship

The Institute of Business & Entrepreneurship is a program from the University of Wisconsin System that offers an advanced, integrated regime of workshops, mentorships, technical assistance, networking, and investment for small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs throughout Wisconsin.


North Central Wisconsin Entrepreneurship Portal

The North Central Wisconsin Entrepreneurship Portal identifies available funding opportunities for businesses; resources such as trainings, tools, and workshops & events to help support business development; organizations that support entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout the region; and available spaces such as co-working spaces and business incubators throughout North Central Wisconsin.



The GRID (“Guiding Rural Innovation & Development”) is an organization dedicated to fostering creativity, initiative, and success among small business startups in the Northwoods. Their website showcases entrepreneurs and innovators from throughout the region, and contains a dearth of advice, resources, and workshops spanning all stages of small business creation and management.

At the SBDC at UW-Stevens Point, we treat all businesses, no matter how large or small, as though they are our own. Through our passion, experience, and dedication, we hope to assist all business owners in the areas they need it most. The center provides educational opportunities through individual counseling sessions, as well as conferences and presentations, and builds strong relationships with community leaders so all businesses can achieve their version of success!

Start In Wisconsin

Start In Wisconsin is a network of investors, educators, planners, and more located throughout Wisconsin. This website allows business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to get in contact with a variety of business development organizations in their area, as well as discover numerous workshops, presentations, and conferences that will help them improve their business.


Western Wisconsin Women's Business Center Video Library

The Western Wisconsin Women's Business Center services are designed to provide entrepreneurs with access to individualized training through their video library.  By creating an account, you have access to free videos on marketing, social media, LinkedIn, online selling, recruiting & human resources, cyber security, remote work, website & e-commerce, Instagram, Leadership webinars, professional development, work culture, business plan basics, taxes, and business finances.


WWBIC (Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation)
