State of The Region Forest Meeting Set Here Friday Morning

The Grow North Regional Economic Development will host a state of the region local forestry discussion in Antigo on Friday.

The program will begin at 10 am at Northcental Technical College’s Wood Technology Center.

Department of Natural Resources Secretary Cathy Stepp will speak on the Long Eared Bat issue and giving an update on Good Neighbor Authority.

Don Peterson will also be updating on where the Grow North organization is at the process and anticipated outcomes for the Stewardship Grant as well as the Hardwood Products Strategy Grant.

There will be time for questions.

Grow North encourages the public as well as elected officials to attend.  A tour of Kretz Lumber is scheduled for elected officials afterwards.
