Focus on Energy Small Business Offerings

Focus on Energy, the statewide Energy Efficiency Program that is funded by Wisconsin utilities, will be hosting an event for small businesses on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 8-9:30 am at The Refuge Restaurant.  Focus on Energy would love to see as many eligible businesses take advantage of the program as possible!

Right now Focus on Energy is partnering with WPS to bring our Community Small Business Offering Program to your service area. This program is offering free energy assessments to eligible businesses, as well as bonus incentives for energy efficiency projects completed after our visit. We have a kickoff meeting already scheduled to provide more details about what the program offers:

Tuesday, October 10th
8am-9:30am
The Refuge Restaurant

Their dedicated staff will identify saving opportunities and take the guesswork out of making energy upgrade.  They are partnering with Wisconsin Public Service and City Gas Company to bring expert resources and increased incentive to area small businesses.  This allows small businesses in Wisconsin to grow and invest locally by cutting their energy costs.  Download an overview and FAQ sheet by clicking here.

Free energy assessments will be conducted by expert energy advisors who identify the most effective energy-saving projects for each business to consider.  Businesses are provided a complimentary list of contractors who can assist with upgrades.  Finally, qualifying businesses receive up to 50% bonus on eligible financial incentives for completed energy efficiency projects.

We will be in the area providing free energy assessments the week of October 23rd-27th. Eligible small businesses can contact us at any time – starting now! – to schedule their energy assessment by calling (715) 304-0472.

Examples of businesses that typically qualify for this incentive are convenience and gas stations, laundromats, restaurants, storage facilities, churches and small offices and hotels/motels.  Qualifying customers include businesses with an average monthly usage of 40,000-kilowatt hours or less per month in July and August.
