State Will Host Hiring Event Here on Aug. 2
The state Department of Workforce Development will sponsor a targeted hiring event in Antigo on Thursday, Aug. 2.
It will take place from 1 to 3 pm at the Antigo Public Library.
“As employees of Department of Workforce Development we know there are job seekers out there unable to connect with employers,” Gail Hurd, employment and training coordinator, said, adding that the focus of the afternoon will be to build the pipeline and fill open positions.
Local employers on hand will include Sartori, Rexnord/Merit Gear, Fleet Farm, Genesis Engineering and Manufacturing, Volm, Aspirus, Wisconsin Veneer and Plywood, Insight, and Swiderski.
“Prior to the event we will have staff available to help job seekers with resume development and interview strategies,” Hurd said. “Historically these hiring events have been a boon to employers getting positions filled.”
This event is free of charge to employers and job seekers.
