Work Moving Ahead At Rosalia Site
Contractors are moving quickly at the major addition to Aspirus Langlade Hospital’s Rosalia Gardens in Antigo.
Machinery and workmen are swarming the area west of the present Rosalia site on Flight Road, with plans to get the structure enclosed before the winter winds and snow blow later this year.
Ground was broken for the $4.2 million expansion on June 12, a ceremony where Hospital Administrator Dave Schneider said the facility would be an opportunity to see God in action.
The 19,022 square-foot project will provide 25 additional private rooms, dedicated for hospice patients, and community dining with several options for residents to enjoy.
At the ground breaking Schneider called it a great project.
The new residential units will allow the current 18 units in Rosalia to be transitioned to memory care.
Schneider said the facility has been carefully planned to meet the needs of the local residents, following a study and collecting and considering input from the community.
Construction on the project is scheduled to be completed in October, 2017.
