Entrepreneurship Training Course
With the generous donation from The Suick Family Foundation, Langlade County Economic Development Corporation has been able to offer a 9-week Entrepreneurship Training Course. Participants explore all major aspects of starting and running a small business. The course moves at a quick pace to complete a thorough business plan. Langlade County participants are eligible for a partial course reimbursement if the participant completes the course requirements.
Based off of the completed business plan and presentation at the end of the course, a grant opportunity is available to entrepreneurs that complete the course and are opening a business or already have an established business in Langlade County.
Considering taking the 9-week Entrepreneurship Training Course? A prerequisite is to attend the workshops in Antigo. The workshop was held on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 5:30 pm at the Langlade County Economic Development Corporation’s office located on the NTC Antigo Campus at 312 Forrest Avenue in room WT-112. The Exploring Entrepreneurship Workshops is a one-hour session that participants will learn the “must-dos” to launch a business and keep it running, understand why a business plan is critical to a businesses success, and explore the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. There is no cost to attend this workshop, but pre-registration is required. The Entrepreneurship Training Course classes are on Thursday starting September 21 to November 16, 2017, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. The minimum number of participants for the class to be offered is 5 students with a maximum of 15 students.

Business Solution Series - Fall 2017 Classes
In conjunction with Northcentral Technical College, Langlade County Economic Development Corporation will be holding a FREE fall Business Series Workshops on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Northcentral Technical College – Antigo Campus on the following dates:
- September 26, 2017 – Budget and Financial Reports
- October 24, 2017 – Basic Bookkeeping
- November 14, 2017 – Quickbooks 101

The Business Solutions Series is a dynamic three-part skill development series designed to address specific fundamentals of business while exposing participants to new information and techniques to help them grow professionally and improve overall operations and business efficiencies. Each three-hour workshop is designed to deliver valuable information, tools, and strategies to allow participants to implement new skills and strategies immediately.

Office Incubator Space Available
The LCEDC has an Office Incubator Space available to rent for $250 per month includes wifi, electricity, and janitor services (garbage removal and vacuuming). The office is 161 sq ft (14 X 11.5 feet) which includes the use of desks, storage filing cabinets, office chairs, and small refrigerator. The office is located in the Wood Technology Center of Excellence at the Northcentral Technical College – Antigo Campus. Call our office at 715-623-2085 for more information.
