Writing Your Business Plan Plus Workshop (Online)
This program will be run in 2 parts of 4 hours each. As part of this program, participants will be able to access 1×1 support as described below. This program is hosted by UWL SBDC.
This program provides an eight (8) hour training covering 5 core modules:
• Business planning introduction/testing your idea,
• Financial,
• Operations/legal,
• Marketing,
• Management/ leadership.
Participants will receive a participant guide as well as a sample business plan. Participants also may select to receive a three month subscription to LivePlan to support their development of a business plan. All training and support is virtual and/or by phone.

Access to additional instruction and support: Participants will have the opportunity for up to two hours of follow on 1×1 instructional session to assist them to access business planning materials/tools to develop a business plan. Access to additional support and instruction will be identified to participants in connection with the training and will be available for a 90 day period or the available program support ends, whichever occurs first.
Targeted Participant Audience: This training is suitable for new/newer in businesses who will benefit from a comprehensive training to better define the business and/or help it develop and grow. This training is also suitable for businesses who do not have a current business plan and would benefit from the development of one to guide the management of the business, funding, or to be better positioned for growth. The training and follow on instructional support will help position the business owner to move forward to develop and execute the business plan.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
Participants completing this training program should be able to:
• Understand the key components of a business plan
• Understand ways to identify the business value proposition and test a business idea
• Identify ways to access information to support the business plan’s objectives
• Understand how the business plan is used for multiple business purposes such as evaluation, financing, etc.
• Understand how to access resources to develop the core content of a business plan
• Access technical assistance to support business and strategic planning
