Ag Research Station Field Day & Picnic



Langlade County Agriculture Research Station will hold its annual field day July 27, 20107, at the station, located at the Langlade County Airport (N3689 Langlade Road, Antigo WI 54409 US).

The station is operated by UW–Extension with funding and support from the Wisconsin Potato Industry.

The program will begin at 1 p.m. Topics and presenters on the tour this year will include:
—”SAR inducers to limit Potato Virus Y infection, ” Russ Groves, UW-Entomology.
—“RPE Research Trials, ” Mike Copas, RPE.
—”New Potato Variety Options – Wisconsin Potato Variety Trial Update, ” Felix Navarro, research manager, Hancock Agricultural Research Station.
—“Continued Assessment of Common Scab Control Materials in Potato and Wisconsin Potato Disease Updates,” Amanda Gevens, UW Plant Pathology.
—“Phosphorus Utilization Trial, ” Kevin Gallenberg, Ag Source.
—“Introduction to Potato and Vegetable Sustainable Production Specialist,” Yi Wang, Department of Horticulture

Following the tour please food and refreshments will be provided by Insight FS of Antigo at the Antigo City Park East shelter. All are welcome.
